Dr. Jeff Quamo (MCC Professor of Clarinet) is presenting a clarinet clinic at the MCC Performing Arts Center (use the Longmore Street Entrance) on Wednesday, January 10th, 2018 from 7pm – 9pm to help any clarinet (or bass clarinet) students that are auditioning for Regionals.
Students are to bring their instruments and a copy of their etudes for a 2 hour interactive session. Topics to be covered will include:
1.) Sight Reading Strategies – Students will get a variety of sight reading etudes as well
2.) How to Prepare and Feel Confidant for The Audition
3.) Regional Etude Preparation & Performance
4.) Master Class Format & Mock Auditions
5.) Beyond the Audition – How to Improve Student Musicianship through Directed Listening
Please email Dr. Quamo for pre registration so that he can be sure to have enough copies of handouts and materials available. The registration fee will be only $5 / student and that can be collected at the clinic on arrival.
