Mesa Community College and Desert Echoes Flute Project
are pleased to be able to continue offering the Flute Regional Etude event in January.
This year’s event will be held via Zoom on Saturday, January 9, 2021 starting at 10:00 am.
The classes are completely FREE to high school flutists.
Students will need to register in advance so that a link and information can be sent to them. Registration Form
This is an opportunity to work with some of the valley’s top flutists to improve skills and be better prepared for the AMEA Regional Auditions and will include master classes on each of the three Regional etudes, an optional piccolo etude class, and the opportunity to sign up for a mock audition with comments from one of our clinicians.
In past years, approximately 70% of attendees have been selected for their Regional Band or Orchestra!
The guest clinicians this year are Rhonda Bowen, Kehokule’alani O’Daniell, and Abby Simpson.
Late this spring we will also being offering a live/online version of the All-Arizona Flute Choir and are very excited about being able to work with flutists who were selected for Regionals (+ alternates) on a video project!
