Grand Canyon University is hosting a mock audition on GCU’s campus for the upcoming ABODA/AMEA Region Band Festival.  Students will be able to come to campus, audition for GCU faculty, and receive feedback based on their mock audition.  The goal is to give students as “real” of an experience as possible, before they audition for the real thing.

A Mock audition will include performing your scales, etudes, and sight-reading for GCU faculty in a practice setting. You will receive feedback, via email, from GCU professors about how to improve your playing and audition-taking skills.

As far as COVID protocols, auditionees are more than welcome to wear masks until their mock audition.  Minimal contact with others will be the standard precaution… and there will be plenty of hand sanitizer for their protection.

General Schedule for the event: 1/17/2022

NOTE: The wording on the attached flier is a bit confusing… however, the day of the event will not be.  It is NOT a GCU Choir Region Festival. It is a Mock Audition for the upcoming ABODA/AMEA Region Festival.  GCU Choir is doing something similar for your choir brothers and sisters.
