Participation is highly encouraged for all students interested in any marching band percussion spot for the upcoming fall season.
What is Winter Line at Desert Vista High School?
Winter Drumline is an opportunity for 7th and 8th graders to get an introduction into what we do in the percussion section for marching band.
You will get a chance to play the different marching percussion instruments available, as well as practice and perform with current staff and members of the percussion programs at Desert Vista High School.
This is a great opportunity for students who want to see what it's like to perform with a marching percussion ensemble, as well as those who want to get a head start in preparing to audition for the fall semester percussion section in the marching band.
Never played a marching percussion instrument? No worries - we do lots of work on practice pads and make sure to keep similar ability levels together. This is your chance to give it a try!!!
